When to start work out after surgery?

Gynecomastia is a common condition seen in half of the male population where the breasts are enlarged as a result of the development of excessive male breast tissue. For about a few weeks after surgery, it is advised for the patients to keep themselves away from gruelling physical activities. The exact time to resume all your work after the breast reduction surgery takes a month. Once you return to the gym, you have to shift your workout to cardio exercises and other activities that do not intrude on the healing process. It is good to avoid too many chest and arm workouts until you are fully healed. These activities are to be done six weeks after the surgery.

Once you are about, to begin with, chest and arm exercises, you can also start using machines instead of free weights. Your body will not be the same as it was before the surgery, which means you will be more prone to injury. After you regain all your energy, you will be able to incorporate free weights and get back to your usual workout routine. You have to be patient during this phase of recovery. Resuming your workout routine or other work before the healing process will obviously increase your chance of intricacies.
